Last weekend we packed up the car, well both cars actually as neither of them are very big!! & off we went to Windsor which is about an hour from door to door, the road got worse & worse as we got closer to the campsite, it wasn't a luxurious site with electricity & a nice shower block, but a rustic one with a real fire & a dodgey toilet block, but thats the way we like it, if your going to camp, no luxuries allowed, my straighteners stayed at home for the weekend!! we met up with 2 other couples & their children, we all had a ball, the weather was gorgeous & the river was warm & shallow with a rope swing perfect for children. PLENTY of yummy food & wine which we managed to keep cold.

Looks like you had fun! Our last camping trip was Lincolnshire in the rain, with the wind coming straight off the North Sea across the fens! Bracing! And this was in August!Like the open fire for cooking - bet the food tasted lovely! x
