The garden is truley flourishing, some things have finished & others are extremely fruitful, Emerson is very green fingered I cant take any credit actually, I just potter around with my collecting basket & pick them when they are ready, We have an abundance of cherry tomatos which are juicy & sweet & rock melon have taken over one part of the veggie garden but havn't a clue where it came from we have also had water melon which is Kenya's fav....

This is our Olive tree, we have had it for about 3 years & it has finally started to get olives, although I know its not a simple process & its not a question of picking & eating!! will have to google to see what it entails,

Chef Milli

Milli loves using her imagination & is something different everyday, whether it be a dr, a vet a teacher or shopkeeper, today she is a chef & made some beautful make believe white chocolate & Raspberry muffins, complete with 70's childrens cookbook I found in a junk shop, I'm sure we had a similar one when we were children!!

Our New Room

Sadly Emerson's cousin Tania & her husband Anthony have moved back to New Zealand, Its sad because she & I got on really well, she is very creative & we used to share ideas with eachother, I will miss her, but we did score a caravan that belonged to them, its pretty old but has heaps of character & many uses, the cooker & sink have gone but it has lots of little overhead cupboards, a wardrobe, a table & it can sleep 4 people, great for sleepovers!. We will use it for a spare room, a play room for the girls & a craft/ sewing room so I can leave my stuff out if I'm doing something instead of having to pack it away from the dining table!!, I will pretty it up abit, make some new curtains, clean it up & put plants all around it, as it will be static. I love it x

This is a watercolour of our house, that Maureen, {Jo's mum} painted, she took a photo of it last year when they were here, painted it at home & then sent it to me, she has captured it so well even down to the screen door always being open, a lovely keepsake, she also did just the veranda. I made her a bracelet & sent it to her to say thankyou.

Justice Crew

Milli's gymnastic training centre has moved to a bigger & better site, they have some new equipment & are now much more professional, last weekend they had an open day to try & attract some new people which they did, it was a great success & we all had a fab day, they are a fantastic dance crew, totally gorgeous & they have done really well since. They are now going to be training at the gym so that will be good for business!! & us mums are pleased, nice bit of eye candy while we sit there for 3 hours waiting for our little ones to finish training.

My gym friends, Jeanette & Cath, dont know who that woman is popping her head in! "how rude"

Milli is at the front right with the blue dress

This is another piece of rag rugging,  the first one I did was a heart for Kenya & this is a flower for Milli, they are foot mats I put them by their beds to step on when they get out of bed in the morning.

Balmoral Beach with the Wright's

Had a wonderful day at the beach yesterday with Jo & her cubs, It was a lovely beach with a cool jetty the kids could jump off & did all afternoon & an inlet so there was no mental waves  the little ones were safe all the time, we had a picnic with "hard boiled eggs" laid by Jo's chooks & lovely cups of tea with shortbread & over priced ice cream for the kids. Sunday sewing

Very hot yesterday & with all chores done I thought I would do some sewing, I am starting to get a collection together to start selling at the city markets, The bag is for the markets, I found the embroidered cotton in a charity shop & put a white backing & handle on it & the little white drawstring bag I filled with shells  for Jo's bathroom as she's made a few changes in there to give it a new life.

Our Grand Day Out!

On Thursday I took the girls for a train ride, (which they love) into the city with a lovely picnic, including hard boiled eggs, which is a must, a picnic is not a picnic without them!!

We walked to Darling Harbour where there was a free Shark exhibition at the Maritime Museum, It was good, there was a guide that took us round & he was funny with all the kids,

Piles of shark teeth

There was one part where it was all 60's stuff & this boat was there, I loved it very James Bond or I thought it was the sort of one Elvis would be driving in his movies!!

Aterwards we sat on a grassy bank & had our picnic ,followed by an ice cream, then the girls played in the water with fountains & got soaked, they had a ball as it was very hot,
& then went back on the train home,
"Lovely cheap day had by all"
